Upcast Casting Machine Operator & Upcast Casting Lead

We are currently hiring for two key roles in our copper wire manufacturing facility: Machine Operator and Lead Operator (Upcast Casting) Both positions require working a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on production demands. 1st shift hours: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. 2nd shift hours: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. 3rd shift hours: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. A rotating shift schedule means employees will periodically rotate between different shifts (days, nights, etc.) based on production needs. For example, an employee may work day shift for several weeks and then rotate to night shift for the next scheduled rotation period. Machine Operator - Upcast Casting Facility Starting pay: $20.00 per hour Join our production team as a Machine Operator responsible for operating upcast casting equipment that produces high-quality copper rod used in wire manufacturing. This role is essential to maintaining continuous, efficient, and safe production operations. Responsibilities Operate machines that pour molten copper into molds to produce copper rod Set up, adjust, and monitor casting equipment to meet quality specifications Troubleshoot machine and process issues during production Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment Conduct quality checks and report defects to management Handle materials, scrap sorting, and coil preparation Operate overhead cranes and hoists as needed Review lab results and adjust processes as directed Follow all safety and production procedures Maintain clean and organized work areas Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Forklift experience required (minimum 1 year) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred Ability to stand, walk, and work 8-12 hour shifts Lead Operator - Upcast Casting Facility Starting pay: 60k-80k per year - this is an hourly position The Lead Operator supports and oversees daily casting operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This position works closely with operators, technicians, and management to maintain efficient workflow and troubleshoot process issues. Responsibilities Lead daily casting operations and coordinate workflow on the production floor Assist operators with setup, troubleshooting, and process adjustments Ensure compliance with quality standards and production specifications Review production data and lab results to guide process improvements Communicate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment issues Support training and development of machine operators Enforce safety procedures and company policies Maintain accurate production and shift documentation Help drive productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements Qualifications Previous Upcast Casting manufacturing leadership or lead operator experience required Strong knowledge of casting or heavy industrial production processes required Forklift and/or crane operation experience preferred Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Employees work in a loud industrial environment with exposure to heat, chemicals, and moving mechanical equipment.
