Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the furnace operator. The duties include getting parts ready for processing by clean parts, paint parts with stop-off paint, rack parts in heat treat baskets, unloading parts back into customers containers after processing. Transport parts using a variety of metal handling equipment. Responsible for housekeeping in the shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Following shop order instructions.
  • Unpacking and packing of customers parts.
  • Cleaning of parts.
  • Painting parts with stop-off paint.
  • Racking customer parts into heat treat baskets.
  • Un-racking customers' parts back into customer supplied containers as received.
  • Operating various types of equipment (ie. Forklifts, cranes, blasters, ect.)
