Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the furnace operator. The duties include getting parts ready for processing by clean parts, paint parts with stop-off paint, rack parts in heat treat baskets, unloading parts back into customers containers after processing. Transport parts using a variety of metal handling equipment. Responsible for housekeeping in the shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Following shop order instructions.
• Unpacking and packing of customers parts.
• Cleaning of parts.
• Painting parts with stop-off paint.
• Racking customer parts into heat treat baskets.
• Un-racking customers' parts back into customer supplied containers as received.
• Operating various types of equipment (ie. Forklifts, cranes, blasters, ect.)

Ability to do addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Forklift and crane experience preferred. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
