Job Description

Responsibilities:
Checking work orders, properly selecting processed material checking for weight, alloy, size, and quality. Operate a power-driven slitter to slit coils into one or more strands. Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained. Set up and adjust slitter knives and stripper rings. Run material according to the specifications of the work order. Check slit strands - free of burrs, scratches, coil set, and within camber specifications. Properly identify all slit material and complete all documentation, in the ERP system. May require the repair of minor mechanical problems. Group completed coils together by work order in the designated area. Maintain the work area in a clean and neat fashion. Math aptitude/setup calculations testing Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass the company mechanical test. Manufacturing experience preferred. Sufficient ability to maintain records and reports. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments. Working knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Understanding of production procedures. Analytical skills. Attention to detail. Teamwork and communication skills. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
