COPY LINK link Adecco is sourcing for a Wide web Slitter Operator for a our client in Collinsville, IL, This is a temp to permanent role, 2nd shift, 10 hour schedule Monday through Thursday!

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation:

Interpret work orders and production schedules to set up the slitter machine, including positioning knives/blades, installing spacers, and setting tension controls and speed parameters.

Production Monitoring:

Run the machine, monitor material flow, and make real-time adjustments to ensure production meets quality standards and customer specifications.

Quality Inspection:

Act as the first line of quality assurance, inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects, wrinkles, or improper tension.

Material Handling:

Safely load and unload jumbo parent rolls using hoists, cranes, or forklifts.

Maintenance & Housekeeping:

Perform daily preventive maintenance (lubricating, cleaning) and maintain a clean,anized work area (5S).

Documentation:

Complete accurate production records, inventory tracking, and safety logs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

1-3 years of experience operating slitter, rewinder, or similar converting equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Precision Measurement:

Proficient in reading a tape measure and using tools like calipers or micrometers.

Math Skills:

Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, ratios, and percentages.

Physical Stamina:

Pay Details:
