COPY LINK link Adecco is currently hiring a Wire Slitter Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Collinsville, IL. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a slitting line to process metal coils into specified widths while meeting quality, safety, and production standards. Payrate range for this role is $17.00-$20.00/ hr based off experience. Job Summary The Slitter Operator will safely and efficiently operate slitting equipment, ensuring coils are processed accurately and meet customer specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and amitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Machine Setup & Operation Set up slitting knives, spacers, tension rolls, and relatedponents per work order requirements Properly thread metal coils through the slitter and operate equipment at optimal production speeds Monitor equipment performance to ensure smooth, efficient operation Quality Control Inspect slit material for width, gauge, burrs, and surface condition Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify specifications Identify and report quality issues promptly Material Handling Safely load and unload master coils and finished product using overhead cranes or forklifts Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage Documentation & ing Accurately document production data, including coil ID creation, footage, and scrap tracking Maintain clear andanized production records Safety & Maintenance Maintain a clean,anized workspace following 5S standards Follow all safety policies and procedures Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance as needed This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or metal processing experience who enjoys hands-on work and operating industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details:
