Prepress Operator

Prepress Operator Responsibilities:

Art file preparation experience for offset, large format, grand format, banner, flat bed, and digital printing Experience with setting up files for environmental graphic with and understanding or tiling roll fed prints helpful File preparation in a Mac environment using the latest Adobe Creative Suite of software preparing art files and print ready PDF files for page layouts, file impositions, color management, proofing and output is a must.

Prepress Operator Requirements:

Knowledge of Kodak Prinergy 9.5, Preps 9.5 impositions software, Adobe CS and Creative Cloud (current version levels) is a Plus +++ Knowledge in pre-flighting, trapping, layout & page imposition for offset, flatbed, large format and roll fed printing. Proficient in PDF workflow. Understanding of how art files are built for printing, terminology, and file setup. Strong sense of trouble shooting & file manipulation using applications such as Pitstop. Knowledge of file preparation for grand format environmental graphic set up a plus. Knowledge of EFI Direct Smile is a Plus +++ Minimum of 5 years of experience in file prep for commercial print production across multiple print devices (traditional offset, wide format, HP Indigo digital printing) required. Must be available to work overtime when needed. Perform other duties as requested. Day Shift 8:00am - 5:00pm.
