Job Description
Do you like to work outside? Are you self-motivated? Enjoy being responsible and playing a critical role at a farm? Growing swine and grain family farm seeks to hire a quality teammate to operate computer-driven feed mill and deliver feed on a full-time, year-round basis--filling the critical role bridging our grain and swine operations. Non-CDL B driver's license (or higher) required. Requirements
- Drug Free
- Responsibility, reliability, timeliness, common sense and excellent attitude
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
- Have a Class B Non-CDL or higher
- Able to pass our random drug screenings
- Available to work some Saturdays
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds, stand, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, squat for extended time on varied surfaces with noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Possess good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Farm experience preferred Responsibilities This position will include, but not be limited to:
- Improve farm profitability (which leads to employee profitability) by being a self-starter , communicating clearly , keeping an excellent attitude, workingas a team player .
- Practice safety around animals, equipment, pesticides, and feed antibiotics.
- Set, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and fix feed equipment, always leaving equipment ready for its next use. o Grease bin flex augers weekly o Grease hog building curtain winches weekly in season o Maintain grain legs, roller mill, mixing room equipment o Maintain feed truck
- Clean feed mill, equipment, bin pads, and truck.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including ingredient inventories and feed manufactured records
- Exhibit flexibility, as priorities, tasks, and conditions tend to change.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
