  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Heat Treat Furnace Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this vital role, you will oversee the operation of heat treatment furnaces used to enhance the properties of metal components, ensuring they meet precise specifications for strength, durability, and performance. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and cutting-edge manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor heat treatment furnaces, including loading, unloading, and adjusting temperature profiles to achieve desired material properties. Conduct routine inspections of furnaces and related equipment such as thermocouples, sensors, and control systems to ensure optimal performance. Follow detailed process instructions and technical specifications for each heat treatment cycle, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify that finished parts meet blueprint requirements and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Maintain accurate documentation of furnace cycles, process parameters, and inspection results for traceability and quality assurance purposes. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating manufacturing equipment including forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and tooling setups. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication and assembly tasks. Knowledge of quality inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and process adjustments. Understanding of safety procedures related to furnace operation, handling sheet metal and hot materials safely. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
