The Role Under the direction of the Plant Manager , the Roll Grinder Operator is responsible for performing receiving inspection, resurfacing, and final inspection of leveler rolls. Requirements Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items Setup, grind, and polish leveler rolls blemish free to customer specifications. Inspect rolls before and after processing. Change grinding wheels. Check and adjust coolant. Operate various types of inspection equipment. Measure rolls for receiving inspection parameters, including a before Pro-mic report. Document all production and inspection activities on required forms. Maintain housekeeping of area and equipment. Perform ultrasound, surface finish, hardness, runout, and all other testing required and record results. Complete grinding report form. Prepare rolls for shipment per procedure. Knowledge Hazardous Communication training, Forklift training, and Crane Safety training preferred. #1AndritzWay Core Behaviors Customer Focus Ownership for Performance Shared Commitment Openness Education and Experience At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
