The main responsibility is to directly disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and assemble molds, and to quickly respond to mold issues during production. Major Responsibilities Perform mold maintenance and emergency response activities during production. Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and repair molds as required. Respond to mold issues on the production floor and support minimizing production downtime. Support initial mass production stabilization by identifying and resolving mold-related issues. Record mold condition, inspection results, repair history, and corrective actions. Support coordination with outside mold repair suppliers, headquarters support personnel, and related internal departments. Comply with safety standards, quality requirements, and work procedures during all mold maintenance activities. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design and modification tasks. Experience with CNC programming for mills, lathes, and other machining centers. Strong understanding of plastics injection molding processes and tooling requirements. Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality control. Skilled in welding techniques including TIG, MIG, or stick welding for mold fabrication repairs. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) technology for high-precision mold work. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools like calipers, micrometers, schematics reading tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately. Experience working with stamping presses or other manufacturing equipment is a plus. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in mold maintenance and mold repair, including mold disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and inspection. Ability to operate laser welding equipment, lathe, and milling machine. Ability to support emergency response, overtime work, and shift work as needed. Bilingual communication skills in Korean and English. Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive parts mold maintenance. Experience with injection molds or automotive interior parts molds. Experience in mold polishing, fitting, lapping, and minor mold modification. Experience supporting mold issue resolution during initial mass production or new line launch. Experience preparing mold inspection records, repair history, and preventive maintenance records. Required Competencies Hands-on ability to disassemble, assemble, inspect, and repair molds. Ability to identify mold issues and perform quick corrective actions. Ability to use laser welding equipment, lathe, milling machine, and basic mold maintenance tools. Ability to work with production, quality, development, manufacturing engineering, headquarters personnel, and outside suppliers. Ability to maintain mold condition records and repair history accurately. Strong awareness of safety, quality, and 5S requirements. Key Deliverables Mold inspection and repair records. Emergency response results for mold-related production issues. Mold issue improvement and stabilization support results during initial mass production. Mold condition management records and preventive maintenance check records. Mold issue status and corrective action details for outside supplier or headquarters support.
