Job Description

Description:
The Braider Operator is responsible for operating braiding machines to fabricate composite-reinforced tubes and components according to specifications. This position requires attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot machinery, and adherence to quality and safety standards within a production environment.
Requirements:
Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate braiding machines following detailed work instructions, routers, and job-specific specifications. Load yarns, threads, or filaments into bobbins and carriers, ensuring correct material selection and tension settings. Monitor machine operation for quality, proper alignment, and continuous feed; make adjustments as necessary. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of braided products using measuring tools. Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment. Record production data and complete quality control documentation as required. Communicate issues or abnormalities to supervisors or maintenance teams. Follow all safety policies including PPE use, housekeeping standards, and chemical handling procedures. Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals. Knowledge & Experience 1+ years of experience operating braiding or textile machinery preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Understanding of composite materials and fiber reinforcements is a plus. Skills & Abilities Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Frequently required to reach and use hands and arms continuously. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
