Job Summary:
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of molds used in plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion. Mold Technician Job Duties Set up, operate, and maintain molds for plastics injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion processes to ensure optimal production quality and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of molds using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and detect defects. Perform mold repairs, modifications, and fabrication tasks utilizing hand tools, press brake machines or other fabrication equipment. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated molding equipment. Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklift operations and materials handling techniques within the warehouse setting. Conduct quality inspections on finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Mold Technician Experience:
Proven experience working as a Mold Technician or in a similar manufacturing role within plastics processing industries such as injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. For more information, please contact Chelsey at 978-384-5985.
