Monday
  • Friday 1st = 5:30am

About Scout HR's Client:
They are a leading steel service center processing flat-rolled steel for automotive, appliance, agriculture, and industrial markets. They believe in safety first, training, and growing talent from within. What You'll Do (Typical Duties): Understand and follow all client and safety procedures and policies. Setting up slitter to slit product to customer specifications. Load rolls of WIP (Work in Process) onto machine and thread machine. Inspects quality of rolls before production and begins and continuously checks quality of line as it is produced. Properly document quality inspections. Check to be sure all guards are in place and working properly according to procedures. Removes rolls in a timely manner, inspect, label, package, and stack on skid. Weighs and documents all scrap What We're Looking For (Qualifications): High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in manufacturing, metal/steel, or heavy industry is a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform sustained physical activity Ability to read tape measures, basic dimensions, and follow simple schematics Comfortable working in loud, hot, or cold industrial environments Safety mindset — must consistently use required PPE (steel toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection) Good attendance, reliability, and willingness to work overtime when needed
