  • Full-time Job Summary A growing plastic injection molding company is seeking an experienced Process Technician to support production operations, optimize molding processes, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, process improvements, and maintaining efficient production performance. Responsibilities Set up and start injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling for production runs. Monitor and adjust molding parameters including temperature, pressure, cycle times, and material flow to maintain quality standards. Troubleshoot molding defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks, and warping to minimize scrap and downtime. Perform mold changes, machine startups, and process validations efficiently and safely. Conduct routine quality checks and ensure parts meet customer specifications and production requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and process optimization. Assist machine operators with technical support and training on production procedures and quality expectations. Perform preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, and auxiliary equipment as needed. Maintain accurate process documentation, production records, and setup sheets. Follow OSHA safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in plastic injection molding or process technician roles preferred. Strong understanding of injection molding processes, tooling, and materials. Experience troubleshooting molding machines and quality defects. Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and quality specifications. Knowledge of robotics and auxiliary equipment is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Flexible to work overtime and various shifts as needed.
