Job Description
Core Responsibility:
Responsible for the safe and effective handling and management of molds and equipment in the production area. Assists the shift Supervisor and supports other production personnel in producing plastic molded product and assemblies that meet the customer requirements.Essential Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Perform safe and efficient mold changes in IMMs according to schedule, following established procedures and notes from the set-up sheet in job book. The mold changes are to be documented on assigned paperwork. Set up of end of arm tooling, proper storage of mold, and setting up of any auxiliary equipment is also necessary.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment used to support the mold change process. Observing and monitoring equipment for problems and reporting them to the shift Supervisor. Cleaning work area of debris, unnecessary equipment, etc.
- Supports the manufacturing operation including assisting the Shift Supervisor in mold changes and supports other production personnel to assure the smooth running of the shift. Understands the requirements of the Team Member, Material Handler in order to help give breaks, buddy check.
- Assists shift supervisor in mold and color changes, as needed (the more experienced the M.H., the more involved in this area).

- Fork truck (HILO), crane, lock out tag out, First in, first out comprehension.
- Computer, Fork truck (HILO), baler, injection molding machine (IMM) and auxiliary equipment (Dryer, blender, vacuum, grinders, etc), tape gun, scale, pallet jack, hand tools, mold heaters, Lock out Tag out, robots, torque wrench, crane.
- Follows the company rules, adheres to safety policies, and participates in continual improvement programs and activities.
