Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Skilled Die Setter to join our Custom Injection Molding manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and clamping dies in production machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality of output. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, overhead crane operation/certification, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Responsible for the safe and effective handling and management of molds and equipment in the production area. Set up, install and remove dies for various production processes, including plastic injection molding dies. Operate crane, forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilize general hand tools, breaker bars and torque wrenches during setup. Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow and maintain quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Currently looking to fill an off-shift responsibility on 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm. Qualifications Proven experience as a Die Setter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery operations. Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is highly desirable. Proficient in basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Ability to operate forklifts and overhead crane; certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
