Boring Mill Operator (Toshiba)

Boring Mill Operator Location:

Accu-Tech Manufacturing Accu-Tech Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Boring Mill Operator to run our Boring Mill . The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience , the ability to set up and machine jobs with minimal supervision, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts. Applicants must have their own basic tools and be reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

Read blueprints, instructions, and job orders to determine dimensional and finish specifications Set up and operate boring mill machines Verify machined work meets specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Change worn cutting tools and select appropriate tools, speeds, feed rates, and depths of cut Maintain work tolerances to ±0.0001 inch Set up mills, drill presses, lathes, and workpieces, engaging automatic feeds as required Safely lift up to 50 pounds and maintain balance while walking, stooping, and handling materials Establish proper machine speeds and feeds for each operation Compare finished parts to prints for accuracy Operate valves and direct coolant or cutting oil over cutting areas Ensure workpieces are properly clamped and positioned Lay out workpieces using layout tools and shop math knowledge Repair and maintain peripheral equipment, including servicing, adjusting, and testing machines and devices Communicate effectively to obtain and relay information needed to complete tasks

Requirements:

Journeyman with a minimum of 5 years of machining experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team Capable of setting up and machining weldments from start to finish with minimal supervision Honest, dependable, and takes pride in workmanship If you are a skilled Boring Mill Operator looking for a stable position in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you!
