PLATE ROLL OPERATOR
We're partnering with a leading custom metal fabrication company that specializes in roll bending and custom fabrication of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. They're one of the largest roll-bending operations in the Upper Midwest — and they're looking for an experienced Plate Roll Operator to join their team.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (4-day work week)

Role:
You'll set up and operate plate rolling machines to roll flat plate into arcs, cylinders, and cones — producing parts per print and within tolerance. This role requires a driven self-starter who takes pride in quality work and thrives in a team atmosphere.
What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate plate rolling machines to produce parts per blueprint and within tolerance
- Read and interpret blueprints including dimensions and tolerances
- Use measurement tools to inspect parts and verify quality standards
- Verify material specifications and @type before starting rolling operations
- Use ERP system to clock in/out, record job times and quantities
- Work with department lead on service and repair scheduling for equipment
- Maintain a clean machine and work area during and at end of each shift
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience operating a plate rolling machine
- Prior experience in a metal fabrication environment
- Working knowledge of mathematics
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications (stand out with these):
- 3+ years operating a plate rolling machine
- 5+ years in a metal fabrication environment
- Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, jibs, and lifting equipment
- MIG welding proficiency — steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Understanding of welding processes and materials
- Experience with brake press, shear, and other fabrication machinery
