Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Mold Setup Technician to join a growing production team in New Hope, MN. This role is responsible for performing mold setups according to scheduled priorities and work instructions while ensuring equipment, molds, and hardware are properly installed, maintained, and production-ready.

The ideal candidate will have previous mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Mold Setup & Machine Operation Safely remove and install molds in hydraulic rubber molding machines Adjust press controls and setup parameters according to work instructions Verify setup accuracy and ensure molding hardware is properly secured Troubleshoot molding and setup issues as needed Mold Maintenance & Organization Clean molds using glass bead blasting equipment Inspect molds for damage and ensure molds are clean prior to production Manage mold storage areas and maintain organization of tooling and hardware Ensure setup gear is properly labeled and maintained in good operating condition Production Support & Quality Work closely with supervisors to coordinate molding schedules and priorities Inspect molds and complete required documentation for damaged equipment Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the department Support continuous improvement and workplace organization initiatives Safety & General Duties Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain safe work practices while operating machinery and handling molds Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of 1-2 years of mechanical experience Basic math skills Ability to read and understand English Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Preferred:
Previous mold setup or rubber molding experience Manufacturing or production environment experience
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, molds, and production equipment Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the shift Ability to lift 20-30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Requires use of PPE and adherence to all safety procedures
