Opportunity:

In this role, you will trim plastic parts in accordance with customer requirements using hand and power tools such as, but not limited to, knives, diagonal-cutting pliers, band saws, grinders, and sanders. Support injection molding presses. Identify quality issues relating to trimming, injection molding, packaging, and order fulfillment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Trim off gates and flash from plastic parts according to specified cosmetic grade using tools such as, but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliers, band saws, grinders, and belt sanders.
• Support presses in the molding department by operating the molding cycle, inspecting parts, and trimming parts.
• Accurately counting and weighing parts.
• Packaging the parts according to specified requirements.
• Entering process information into a computer.
• Ensuring that order quantities and customer specifications have been met.

• Physical Demands:

  While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for the entire shift; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reaching, bending, grasping, The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing setting requiring normal safety precautions (eye protection and hearing protection). Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
