POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities:
Ensures adherence to and demonstrates a sound understanding of safety best practices and regulations Monitors all work performed and provides crews training where needed as well as Quality Control Performs routine site field inspections Ensures teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines Provides leadership and guidance to develop their team members skills and abilities Supervises splicing subcontractors and in-house splicers Reconciles work production tasks as they relate to invoicing Recruit and/or train and mentor new crew members Positively motivates crews, especially when fighting the elements or behind on projects Conducts quality assurance inspections during and after completion of work to ensure compliance to customer specific requirements Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Critical thinking skills Conflict resolution skills Good analytical skills with the ability to plan, predict, investigate, and find solutions Strong work ethic, leads by example, and does what it takes to get the job done Computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite and other software programs Excellent at interacting with crews and individuals Extensive knowledge and experience in splicing fiber Ability to communication with clarity at the frequencies required by management and customers Ability to travel to multiple sites as required Work independently with minimal supervision Read and understand construction maps, drawings, splice diagrams/matrix
Requirements:
5 plus years as a Fiber Splicer Extensive splicing, cable prep, bonding & grounding and fiber testing/troubleshooting knowledge and experience Valid driver's license and excellent driving record Must be able to pass a DOT physical Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test High School Diploma or GED If you are a motivated professional with leadership experience and a passion for driving connectivity and innovation, we encourage you to apply with your resume detailing your relevant experience and accomplishments.
