Job Description
Purpose:
To help in maintaining and modifying where beneficial injection molds and fabrication of fixtures required in the molding operation.Responsibilities:
Perform routine incoming inspection and maintenance on new molds. Repair injection molds. Create or fix pieces and fixtures using their metal working skills. Has a deep understanding / knowledge / experience of the mechanical equipment in the toolroom used to conduct repairs and maintenance. Perform other duties as required. Job Requirements Qualifications- High School Diploma, Technical Degree, Mold Maker certification a plus.
- Good math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Capable of holding tight tolerance during machining and grinding operations.
- Capable of reading and understanding part drawings.
- Capable of making replacement components from broken parts.
- Must have familiarity with all types of inspection equipment.
- Should have own job tools.
- Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working overtime as required.
- Capable of training others as needed.
- Must possess a strong commitment to the Company and to the production of quality product.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Physical demands of job include but are not limited to the following:
- Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
