- A Test Operator executes diagnostic test procedures on computer server hardware, assemblies, and components to verify system functionality before customer shipment.
Operating within the hardware verification division, this entry-level role ensures all factory-validated equipment aligns with strict quality, safety, and deployment standards
Key Responsibilities Diagnostic Execution :
Run standardized functional, component-level, and board-level tests using specialized diagnostic software and Windows or Linux-based operating systems.
System Hardware Configuration :
Set up test environments, input required server configurations, and capture hardware board serial numbers.
Visual Inspection :
Complete physical screening, basic cleaning, and board prep to recognize potential hardware defects before running programs.
Issue Escalation :
Identify and report system anomalies or hardware failures, escalating complex issues to test engineers and rework teams.
Data Documentation :
Record test yields, operational observations, and component tracking logs clearly inside the production execution system.
Workspace Safety :
Maintain clean, structured, and organized testing stations to minimize workplace hazards and uphold ESD guidelines.
Secondary Logistics :
Assist the production lab with unpacking, labelling, packaging, and basic asset movement when required
Core Requirements Education :
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; an Associate degree in IT, Electronics, or Computer Science is preferred.
Experience :
1-2 years of manufacturing, electronics, or IT tech environment experience is preferred, but entry-level applicants are accepted.
Hardware Literacy :
Basic comprehension of core server components including CPUs, motherboards, RAM modules, network interfaces, and storage drives.
Software Skills :
Comfort using command-line prompts and fundamental navigation tools in both Windows and Linux environments.
Physical Demands :
Ability to remain focused during highly structured, repetitive tasks and safely lift computer equipment weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds Must be able to pass background check
