Job Description
Injection Molding Process Technician We are seeking an individual who is very detail-oriented, reliable, and have a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience in the injection molding industry and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and teamwork. Responsibilities for molding technician
- Set up, heat up, start up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust process settings on the injection molding equipment per standard operating procedures resulting in high quality parts.
- Operate hoists and as required used in the area
- Assist department technical personnel with problem solving and experimental activities.
- Assist basic maintenance with troubleshooting and equipment repair as directed.
- Provide analysis, spreadsheets, charts, and graphs related to injection molding processes.
- Active in process improvement teams
- Maintain good work ethic and confidentiality.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve production goals
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on machines and equipment Qualifications for molding technician
- Demonstrated problem solving and strong troubleshooting skills
- Injection molding troubleshooting skills needed
- Programming/troubleshooting robotic/automated part take out systems or servo motors desirable
- Provide required communications to all levels in our focus factory
- Ideally (3) years of Injection Molding Operator experience
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling techniques
- Familiarity with micrometers and other precision measuring tools
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions Pay based on experience: $50K - $60K/yr.
