Job Description

Responsibilities Not limited to: Cutting wood, packaging with steel strapping; general shop tasks; assist with setup of the flat rolled sheet steel slitters; measuring pieces; janitorial. Job Summary Qualified candidates must have the ability to repeatedly handle 40-50 lbs. pieces of tooling; manually lifting and moving around 7500#-15,000# of tooling per day; safe practices; good attitude and attendance; mathematical ability to convert fractions to decimals (and vice versa) and be able to precisely read a tape measure. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. This role involves various tasks related to assembly, manufacturing, and warehouse operations, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools for assembly and manufacturing tasks. Assist in the assembly line processes, ensuring quality standards are met. Perform general labor duties including lifting, moving, and stacking materials as needed. Utilize forklifts to transport materials within the facility (certification preferred). Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and productivity. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues. Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred. Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with an understanding of basic machinery operations. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is highly desirable. Warehouse experience will be considered an asset for this position.
