Job Description:
Growing company in the Northeast Ohio area has an exciting opportunity available a Process Technician. There are 2 positions open on the 2nd and 3rd shift. The hours are 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am.
Position Summary:
The Molding Process Technician performs tasks which include mold setting, releasing jobs to production and optimizing jobs & equipment to produce product which meets the customers' expectations and margin requirements.
Responsibilities:
Removes previous PPIF, documentation raw materials and tools from press. Tooling evaluations. PIF documentation. Release jobs to production. Has the authority to change process ranges to product conforming product or margin. Train molding operators, less experienced Process Technicians and mold cleaners. Mold and core changing. Mold preventative maintenance. Maintain 5S areas. Bolt checks. Ensure date codes are correct. Other functions as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
5 years of molding experience, preferred. 2-3 years of process experience preferred but will train. Basic computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word. Lift truck operator license. Problem solving capability. Highschool diploma or GED, preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly. Experience in either plastic injection molding or rubber molding is required.
