Job Description

Furnace Operator Lead - 1st shift hours - Pay up to $30/hr! Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Furnace Operator Lead to oversee daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong leader who can hold employees accountable, maintain production standards, and ensure the team is set up for success each day. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with manufacturing leadership experience who can make an immediate impact. Responsibilities Lead and support production employees to meet daily production goals. Arrive early (4:30-5:00 AM) to prepare equipment, personnel, and production schedules for the day. Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and safety throughout the shift. Hold team members accountable to company standards and expectations. Communicate effectively with management and production employees. Troubleshoot operational issues and assist in maintaining efficient production flow. Train and mentor employees on proper procedures and best practices. Learn and operate induction furnaces and centrifugal spinning equipment. Qualifications Previous lead, foreman, supervisor, or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to motivate employees and enforce performance standards. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions. Comfortable working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Furnace, foundry, molten metal, or heavy manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with centrifugal casting/spinning operations is a plus but not required. Willingness and ability to learn induction furnace operations. What We're Looking For A leader who leads by example and takes ownership of results.
