Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Tooling Preparation:
to accurately prepare tooling dies for operation. Assembles disassembles, prepares and positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required. Adds chills and soluble per tech cards. Removes and/or cleans tooling after operation.
Mold Machine Operation:
To operate moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures. To maintain dimensional integrity of product Sets up, monitors, and controls mold machine functions. Keeps dies clean during molding operations. Removes wax parts from die, inspects for defects, and trims. Cleans wax parts as required. Completes logs and records; documents any modifications to process. Meets all production and quality standards.
Safety Objective:
to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices. Adheres to plant and department safety rules. Safely operates all equipment and tools. Identifies and reports safety problems. OTHER (MARGINAL)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
May train less skilled operators as assigned. Performs other tasks as directed. May be required to handle hazardous waste.

Pry bars Side cutters and/or knives Mallets Torches and air nozzles Air ratchet Wrenches; allen and crescent Power drill Flashlight Hoist Dental picks Mold Machines
QUALIFICATIONS
Skill in wax molding operations, as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility, leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferred OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience. Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Ability to work alone with limited supervision. Written language skills required. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions. Training is provided on the job. May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training.
