Job Description

Mold Maintenance Technician Summary of Responsibilities:
The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preparation, inspection, cleaning, and minor repair of molds used in production. This role plays a key part in ensuring that molds are production-ready, properly maintained, and safely handled. The technician works closely with the Mold Shop and production teams to prioritize mold readiness and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Essential Functions:
Prepare, clean, and inspect molds for production use Disassemble molds and perform minor repairs as needed Assemble/Reassemble molds accurately and efficiently Sandblast molds as required Collaborate with the Mold Shop to develop action plans for extensive repairs Coordinate with the production scheduler to determine mold priorities Maintain and order small parts inventory pertaining to basic mold maintenance.
Required Skills:
Mechanically inclined with hands-on troubleshooting ability Basic math and computer skills Must be able to read and understand part drawings and assembly designs Understand basic hydraulics Proficient in using basic hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., feeler gauges, micrometers) Ability to operate forklifts and overhead jib cranes Rigging experience for safe mold handling and movement Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Able to work in a timely manner to support Production needs Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Tools Required:
Must have basic mechanic's tools and box
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mold maintenance, machine repair, or a related mechanical/technical field Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Familiarity with mold handling, assembly, and maintenance procedures is highly desirable Benefits We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and overall well-being.
