Weed Whacker / String Trimmer Operator — Seasonal Lawn Care

We are seeking a dependable and hard-working string trimmer operator to join our lawn care crew for the 2026 season. This role is primarily weed whacking (90-95%) and leaf blowing (5-10%). You will ride in the company truck with the crew leader to each job site. This is a physically demanding outdoor job. You will be operating a commercial string trimmer (STIHL) for most of the workday at residential and commercial properties in the Poconos, including in summer heat.

Beginning to mid-October Hours 2-3 days per week, 8-11 hour shifts. Hours start lighter in spring, increase through summer as demand grows, and taper in fall. This is a seasonal position from late April through mid-October. Duties Operate a commercial weed whacker to trim around edges, fences, trees, flower beds, sidewalks, and driveways without causing damage Edge along sidewalks and driveways for a clean, professional finish Use a backpack blower to clear grass clippings when needed Ensure every property is clean and complete before leaving — no missed spots Help load and unload equipment at each stop Follow instructions from the crew leader and communicate about any property issues Show up on time and ready to work each scheduled day What We're Looking For Reliable.
