Injection Molding Technician-1st shift Erie, PA 16501 Full-time Full-time •Finish Thompson is GROWING and is seeking an Injection Mold Technician•

Shift:

1st shift position - either M-F 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or M-Th 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Wage:

Negotiable depending on experience/skill All Associates participate in

Quarterly Profit Sharing Program Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The job typically requires the ability to follow demonstrated directions, or equivalent. 2. Under close supervision, operates one or more injection-molding machines that mold thermoplastic material. 3. Operates under prescribed conditions after setup is complete. Work includes cycling machine, removing part(s) from mold, removing scrap material from molded objects, checking molded parts by gauging and visual inspection as prescribed. 4. Refers all deficiencies to leads or teamleader. 5. Collaboratively participate in Manufacturing Departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvement. 6.

Support the following departmental performance:

a. Safety performance and rule adherence b. Quality performance c. Manufacturing efficiencies d. 5S/Organization/Housekeeping e. On-time Delivery f. Continuous improvement including cost reduction g. Understanding of financials and departmental levers that drive them h. Compliance with company work rules and policies i. Accuracy of departmental reporting data j. Timely completion of departmental preventative maintenance under departmental control 7. Work diligently toward improving the following capabilities in accordance with the Injection Molding Technician Perfect Performer document: a. Strong operator skills b. Strong injection molding processing skills c. Strong tooling change skills d. Strong injection molding machine preventative maintenance skills e. Strong mold preventative maintenance and setup skills f. Strong mechanical aptitude g. Strong blueprint reading skills h. Strong math skills i. Strong process troubleshooting/problem-solving skills j. Strong 5S/housekeeping skills k. Deep understanding of plastic part quality - dimensional, visual, measurement, SPC l. Strong documentation skills m. Efficiency performance n. Strong safety mindset and performance o. Plastic material knowledge and understanding p. Cross trained on all injection department machines q. Understanding of company financials and the injection molding impact on them 8. Support integrity of the Quality Management System 9. Perform any other assigned duties.

1. Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, vernier calipers, etc. 2. Ability to do basic math
