"We Make Materials That Create Solutions" The Slitter Operator Helper will be responsible for:

• Assists with slitter/rewinder setup by loading raw materials on unwind stand and lacing the machine.
• Must be able to perform a basic splice for continuous sets.
• Unloads rolls from rewind end of machine and can identify acceptable quality.
• Cuts cores and prepares packaging materials such as skids, core plugs, boxes, etc.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift and maintain OSHA regulated certification.
• Packages and labels materials in accordance with customer specifications.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Must be aware of and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Competency of position requirements:

• Must know how to read work orders
• Must know how to read a measuring devise
• Gather all packaging supplies needed
• Ensures all materials are within specification before shipment
• Move all finished material to shipment area
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must have general math, computer and record-keeping skills in order to maintain production records.

Description:

Assists Lead Operator with basic machines functions and packaging to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. This individual is expected to perform the basic setup/breakdown functions of slitting machines and must display the abilities of a well-trained material handler.
