Continuous Casting Technician Location:

Providence, RI Shift:

Full-Time Shift:

1st 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM , and 2nd: 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM Job Summary We are seeking a Melter / Continuous Casting Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate furnaces, melt metal alloys, prepare molds, and perform casting operations in a safe and efficient manner. This position is ideal for candidates with foundry, casting, furnace operation, or metal processing experience. Responsibilities Operate melting and casting furnaces Melt metal alloys and monitor temperatures Prepare, position, and secure molds for casting Pour molten metal into molds using established procedures Inspect finished castings for quality Clean and prepare molds and crucibles for reuse Complete production and quality documentation Report equipment issues to supervisors Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements 1+ years of experience in a foundry, casting, furnace, or metal manufacturing environment Experience working with furnaces, molds, crucibles, or molten metal preferred Ability to work safely in a high-temperature environment Ability to read and follow work instructions Strong attention to detail and quality High School Diploma or GED preferred Preferred Backgrounds Melter Furnace Operator Casting Operator Foundry Operator Foundry Technician Continuous Casting Operator Metal Processing Technician Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as needed Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment Must wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
