Job Description
About the Role As a Plastics Molding Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource for our production floor, ensuring that injection molding machinery operates at peak performance. By proactively managing equipment health and executing precise mechanical repairs, you will directly influence our ability to meet high-volume production targets and maintain rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to maximize machine uptime and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical malfunctions to restore operational efficiency. Optimize machine performance by calibrating systems and adjusting circuits to align with specific production needs. Manage the end-to-end process of mold changeovers, including installation and removal, to support dynamic production schedules. Perform critical component rebuilds and overhauls, ensuring all assemblies meet precise engineering specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of service history and manage spare parts inventory to ensure rapid response to equipment needs. Promote a culture of safety by maintaining an organized workspace and adhering to all industrial safety protocols. Required Skills Proven experience in industrial maintenance, specifically within a plastics or injection molding facility. Proficiency in interpreting complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics. Advanced troubleshooting skills related to valves, pumps, and pressure-controlled systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment. Preferred Skills Formal training or certification in industrial maintenance or mechatronics. Experience with advanced diagnostic tools for electrical and hydraulic system analysis. Demonstrated ability to lead or assist in large-scale equipment installation projects.
