Blow/Injection Mold Tech Schedule:

C Shift, Sunday- Tuesday:

6 pm-6 am,

Wednesday:

6 pm- 12 am This position operates and performs routine maintenance to blow mold equipment. The incumbent is responsible for supplying bottles as a raw material to multiple PWI plants at a minimal cost to the company. The position is required to work 12-hour shifts.

Essential Job Duties:

Operates blow mold machinery and ensures through constant observation and routine inspections that high quality product is being produced. Performs basic cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment. Detect jams or malfunctions and make adjustments as necessary. Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Set up and operate blow molding machines to mold PET bottles. Install dies onto machines or presses, then coat dies with parting agents, according to work order specifications. Use a forklift to store palletized bottles in the warehouse for transport. Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Minimum of two years work-related experience or training preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Computer experience is required. Reports to Production Manager and Blow Mold Lead. This position may work with little supervision. Forklift certification (Must complete certification within 90 days of hire.)
