Torque & Test Operator Falcon Energy Services Odessa, TX Job Details Full-time $20 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Teamwork Lubrication High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Pressure testing equipment Hydraulics Time management Full Job Description Torque & Test Well Servicing Technician - Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Torque & Test Well Servicing Technician to support oilfield operations through inspection, torquing, pressure testing, and maintenance of well servicing equipment and tubular connections. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of well service operations in both field and shop environments. Key Responsibilities Operating a lubricator. Perform torque and pressure testing on tubing, casing, BOPs, frac iron, valves, and related well servicing equipment. Operate hydraulic torque units, test pumps, pressure gauges, and other testing equipment. Verify proper make-up and break-out procedures for threaded connections according to company and customer specifications. Conduct routine inspections of well servicing equipment to identify wear, leaks, or mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of torque values, pressure tests, inspections, and job reports. Assist rig crews and supervisors during rig-up, rig-down, and well intervention operations. Ensure all work complies with company safety standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary. Participate in safety meetings, JSAs (Job Safety Analyses), and pre-job planning sessions. Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicles, and equipment. Travel to field locations and work extended hours as operational demands require. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous oilfield, well servicing, torque and test, or mechanical experience preferred. Basic understanding of pressure control equipment and well servicing operations. Ability to read gauges, charts, and technical specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to work in harsh outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment. Willingness to work rotational schedules, overtime, weekends, and on-call assignments. Required Skills Knowledge of operating a lubricator. Knowledge of torque specifications and pressure testing procedures. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and oilfield tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions. Time management and problem-solving abilities. Certifications Preferred H2S Awareness Safeland / PEC First Aid & CPR Forklift Certification Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, high-pressure equipment, and hazardous environments. Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
