Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Reclaimer/Pulverizer Mixer Operator to join our highway construction team. This position is responsible for operating a reclaimer or pulverizer to break up, mix, and stabilize roadway materials for highway and road construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, a strong understanding of soil stabilization techniques, and a commitment to safety and quality. What Youll Do Operate a reclaimer/pulverizer to grind and mix asphalt, base materials, and soil for roadway preparation Adjust and control equipment settings to ensure proper depth, mixing, and material consistency Work closely with the site supervisor, engineers, and other operators to meet project specifications Conduct routine inspections, maintenance checks, and minor repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and maintain efficiency Perform other construction-related duties as assigned by the supervisor This job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position. What Were Looking For Minimum of 2+ years operating a reclaimer/pulverizer or similar heavy equipment on highway or road construction projects CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred but not required; Heavy Equipment Operator Certification is a plus Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy machinery Understanding of soil stabilization and asphalt recycling processes Ability to read and follow construction plans, grades, and specifications Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork Physical ability to work in outdoor environments (including extreme heat), lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented Why Youll Love Working with Us At Zachry, we invest in our people because theyre the foundation of our success.
