Are you looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? UTEX is seeking a Rubber Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate machinery to process rubber materials for downstream production. This role is essential to maintaining our high-quality standards and ensuring on-time production.
What You'll Do:
As a Rubber Machine Operator Your responsibilities will include: Operate process equipment including mills, extruders, calenders, barwells, and friction towerMaintain a safe and clean work environment Accurately input production data into the MRP systemPerform product quality checks to ensure compliance with specificationsUse measuring and inspection toolsSupport preventative maintenance and housekeeping standardsFollow all PPE, health, safety, and environmental regulationsWork closely with supervisors and other team members to meet production goalsSupport internal and external auditsOperate forklifts (certification required or provided)
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent or 1+ years of manufacturing experienceStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to use measuring tools and basic computer programsBasic math, computer, and communication skillsComfortable with physical tasks like bending, climbing, and kneelingMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols
Preferred:
Forklift experience
Work Environment:
You'll work in both manufacturing and office environments, using tools and equipment daily. PPE and steel-toed footwear are required.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Why UTEX?
