The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating specialized equipment, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Operate stump grinding equipment safely and efficiently. Remove tree stumps and surface roots according to customer specifications. Transport, load, and unload equipment and trailers. Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Identify underground hazards and verify utility locations before grinding. Measure stumps and provide accurate job assessments when required. Maintain a clean and professional job site. Protect lawns, landscaping, irrigation systems, and surrounding property during operations. Communicate professionally with customers regarding job scope and expectations. Complete work orders, job documentation, and photographs as required. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Assist with cleanup of wood chips and debris when included in the scope of work. Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately. Qualifications Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to safely tow trailers and operate trucks. Previous experience operating heavy equipment, landscaping equipment, skid steers, excavators, or stump grinders preferred but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and varying weather conditions. Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain and job sites. Preferred Experience Stump grinding or tree service experience. Landscaping or excavation experience.
