Current recruitments are for the below shifts.. 1st shift: 7am-3pm 2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm Will work every other weekend Shift differential pay for 2nd shift Injection Molding Assistants have the opportunity to advance 2 skill levels every 6 months. Job Overview We are seeking Injection Molding Assistants to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a stable manufacturing background, preferably with experience in plastics injection molding. This role is responsible for Injection molding quality, packaging, and related activities, ensuring the production of high-quality plastic caps/closures while adhering to safety standards and production schedules. Responsibilities Assist Molding Technician in everyday activities including mold changes. Monitor raw material inventory levels and report daily scrap and material usage to Molding Technician. Document the process cycle-time and quality parameters. Move product from machine to acceptable or rejectable product staging area. Grind or sort rejectable product. Assist in keeping molds in top condition and running with few or no plugged cavities as specified. Ensure that appropriate documentation is accurately maintained as to develop a mold history of each tool. Assist in mold repairs and preventive maintenance. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
Experience working in a plastics molding environment is a plus. Ability to assist with mold maintenance and precision fits. Ability to perform quality inspection with good attention to detail. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and assist in valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and verbal instruction. Ability to present information and respond to questions from management. Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with both internal and external customers via email, telephone, and letter. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written. Ability to learn computer applications and spreadsheets to compile quality information and mold efficiency.
Education/Training:
High school or GED required. Three (3) years experience in a production environment with a solid work history. Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, and database computer applications helpful.
