ABOUT THE ROLE
The Large Format Prepress Operator prepares and manages artwork files for output on large-format printers and cutters using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge, and other industry-standard software. This role includes performing preflight checks, file preparation, proofing, and imposition in a fast-paced production environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring artwork is accurate, print-ready, and aligned with established production standards, helping bring client projects to life with consistency and quality. RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares Artwork Files for output on Large Format Printers, Cutters, and Finishing equipment. Applies strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Adobe Illustrator. Identifies File Formats, Resolution, Color Modes, Spot colors, and other relevant File attributes. Evaluates and communicates the suitability of the provided Files for specific output methods. Collaborates and works effectively within a team of Prepress Operators. Communicates key File details and best practices to Project Managers and Sales. Relays Print File and Layout specifications clearly to the Production team. Follows work orders and standardized processes with precision. Builds and maintains knowledge of Print Medias, Equipment, and Production Techniques. Contributes to team workshops, attends training sessions, and Large Format team meetings. Follows standard protocols and assists in developing new internal processes. Provides exceptional service and support to Sales and Project Management teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least two (2) years of experience preparing Files for Large, Wide, or Grand Format Printers. Knowledge of RIP's and/or Workflow Automation Software is a plus. May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Hand dexterity and strength required. Flexibility in work hours may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
