Job DescriptionGO-C Menasha is the RRD Center of Excellence for Packaging Prepress. Services include packaging production artwork, prepress, color management services, flexo platemaking and a range of proofing and prototyping.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create final production files using prepress applications (Adobe Creative Suite & Esko Tools)Import, trap, bleed, screen and color separate final production filesGenerate and verify BarcodesCreate dielines and/or templatesCreate stepping template and add printer specified press marksPerform color corrections to process color files for Flexo and/or Offset print processesMake alterations and revisions to existing production files, including light typesettingOperate Mac, production file server, proof output devices, RIPs and workflowsGenerate hard copy proofs for customer reviewFollow Standard Operating Procedures and general housekeeping requirementsRecord Time and Materials accuratelyWork in a neat, orderly manner, maintain supply levels, and request repair of equipment as necessaryMaintain equipment (general and minor maintenance)Ability to solve problems with minimal supervisionRead and comprehend job instructions, short correspondence and emailsParticipate in Pre-Production meetings with Sales, Account Manager, Leadership and other production staffEnsure jobs meet scheduling and quality requirementsApply knowledge of packaging prepress to production workflowsMaintain contact with RRD Account Manager to advise them of job progress, scheduling concerns and requests for additional information or materials when requiredFacilitate the resolution of production-related problems in a timely manner and elevates appropriately when necessaryUse ethical business practices in dealing with customers, employees, vendors, suppliers and the communityQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role is desired OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, emphasis on Illustrator is preferredImage Retouching in Adobe Photoshop is a plusExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understandingAbility to problem solve, analyze potential solutions and use good sound judgment to make decisionsAdditional InformationThe rate of pay for this role at the noted RRD location is $32.26 / hour. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
