Job Description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Under the direction of the Site Manager and/or Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for operating all types of HD equipment at the loading facility and mine. as well as operate all aspects of the milling plant, assist with the shipping process, perform autonomous maintenance on machinery and equipment at RHP and at the mine. This position assures the mine and plant operate efficiently and safely, in an environmentally responsible manner, achieving preferred customer service and product quality within spending budgets. Develops effective teamwork and utilizes continuous improvement tools and mindset to achieve production and maintenance goals and reduce costs. Ensures the continuity of production by effective communication across the team. Active participation in and support of the new business growth. CTG is developing a new mined gypsum business at Cody. The gypsum mine and new plant processing setup will produce crushed and milled gypsum products for the cement industry and agricultural market.
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm. Overtime may be required, but is not guaranteed
Compensation:
$26.00/hour The Mill/Mine equipment Operator will possess the following: Follows all company and
OSHA/MSHA
safety policies, procedures, and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others. Operates, maintains, and supervises the milling plant. Operates the bagging station in the mill to keep up with weekly customer demand. Supports the Site Manager and/or Production Supervisor overseeing the mining and plant operations. Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss. Accountable to comply with Environmental regulations, with particular focus on the mine and the plant air quality. Monitor the production processes and product quality and direct efforts to adjust the process and/or equipment to maintain quality and production standards. Assists with the production planning vs rock demand. Assists with the shipments on truck and rail vs sales orders. Maintain, operate, and supervise the stationary and mobile equipment at RHP and active mine to produce crushed rock for the cement and agriculture markets. Operates (if necessary)
  • the loading process.
Customer trucks and rail shipments, including railcar moves. Assists with AM and PM to ensure that all buildings, equipment, and machinery are maintained efficiently, in good and safe operating condition. Performs machinery, plant equipment, and building housekeeping and cleaning, with a focus on 5S projects. Report performance results in accordance with company standards using assigned tools. Openly and honestly communicate with employees and contractors to build trust and effective teamwork. Assists with quality control, with a focus on customer specs compliance. Maintains strategic rock stock levels at budgeted level
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
High School Diploma or equivalent
  • (Preferred) Class A or B driver's license
  • (Preferred) Complete MSHA part 48 within 7 days of hire or have a current 5000-23 form 1-3 years of experience operating mill & heavy equipment Ability to complete AM tasks (Autonomous Maintenance) on equipment Computer-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing, and team environments Must have or obtain a current medical examiner's certificate Must be able to pass random DOT drug testing Ability to work independently and as a team in a diverse work environment Operates HDE at the mine for road maintenance or auxiliary works Reporting/tracking production and other operational KPI's Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment Able to fill in for other positions at the site during periods of vacation or other needs Exercise good judgment for work in progress and operation adjustments Other duties and projects•as directed by the Site Manager or production supervisor
