US Citizens Only (Federal Contracting Requirement) About the Role Our federal contracting client is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Techno-Functional Specialist/Administrator to lead configuration, optimization, and oversight of their ERP ecosystem. Located in the beautiful coastal region of San Luis Obispo, California, this role bridges the gap between technical execution and business strategy. You will manage full-cycle configurations across Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing modules while maintaining rigorous system governance.Key Responsibilities System Configuration, Administration & Technical Oversight Module Optimization:
Configure and maintain coreD365 F&O
modules, including Financials, SCM, Production Control, Master Planning, and Project Management.Quality Assurance:
Partner with technical resources to validate that system customizations and X++ extensions meet requirements without degrading application performance.Release Management:
Verify and sign off on all system enhancements, parameter changes, and extensions prior to user acceptance testing (UAT).System Governance:
Execute administration tasks including security role design, user management, and overall environment maintenance.Business Process Analysis & Design Requirement Architecture:
Define business requirements, document functional specifications, and translate them into scalable system configurations.Fit-Gap Analysis:
Lead cross-functional fit-gap sessions across finance, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.Process Optimization:
Identify at-risk business processes and engineer automation solutions using D365 F&O and the Power Platform ecosystem. Position Requirements Experience & Compliance U.S. Citizenship is strictly required due to the contract's federal nature. Willingness to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA. 8+ years of hands-on experience in the implementation, functional support, tech-functional design, and auditing ofD365 F&O
systems. Proven track record navigating full-cycle ERP implementations, upgrades, and cloud migrations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field. Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related modules are highly preferred.Technical Expertise Manufacturing & Planning:
Strong understanding of Production Control, MRP (Planning Optimization engine), BOMs, routing, and shop floor control.Financial Modules:
Deep knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Cash & Bank Management.Ecosystem Knowledge:
