reviews From $18 an hour - Full-time The Lean Manufacturing Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives across production operations by applying Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques. This position works closely with manufacturing teams to identify waste, improve process efficiency, and support the implementation of lean tools such as 5S, standard work, and kaizen events. The technician is responsible for monitoring improvements, collecting data, and assisting with training efforts to sustain improvements on the shop floor.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in identifying improvement opportunities using Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies.
- Support and participate in kaizen events, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
- Facilitate and help maintain 5S standards across all production areas.
- Gather and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement standard work and ensure adherence.
- Document and update work instructions, visual controls, and process flow diagrams.
- Provide support in training on Lean practices and standardized procedures.
- Track performance metrics and provide feedback on progress toward improvement goals.
- Assist with time studies and data collection to improve productivity and ergonomics
- Design and build moonshine projects using simple materials and shop resources to address process issues
Qualifications:
Ability to lift at least 35lbs (pushing/pulling, carrying, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, driving) 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment Ability to learn and apply lean concepts (5S, Standard Work, kaizen, 3P) to create transformational changes Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of process analysis and root cause analysis
Desired Skills:
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or other) is a plus, but not required Able to work and communicate well with manufacturing, engineering, sales, operations and customer service teams Telephone use, and data entry experience ITI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
