Plant Maintenance Specialist-Part Time

Maryland Heights, MO Manufacturing company has a part time (1st or 2nd) shift opening for a maintenance mechanic to provide on site maintenance and repairing of plant equipment. The company operates boilers, air compressors, forklifts, overhead cranes and a wide variety of process equipment. Some welding is required. Employees are members of a Local union. Work up to 35 hrs per week. Will provide on the job training for candidates with the right skill set/experience. Must have a DRIVERS license and clean driving record to occasionally drive the company vehicle to pick up parts, etc. Starting salary $30-$35 per hr. Looking for a mature candidate who understands the importance of keeping production equipment running and can work independently. Benefits 401(k) with company match We are a drug free workplace. Job duties include:

Keep tool room and work areas clean and tools well maintained Complete repairs in a timely manner- Modify and fabricate work stations to improve efficiency and safety Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment/machinery in good working order servicing shop air compressors(repairing leaks), boiler checks, and other production machinery. Perform daily forklift inspections and turn in paperwork to support the checks daily. Order parts and supplies as needed treating the company's money as it was your own. Summary As a maintenance mechanic you will be essential in managing yourself keeping the production line running. You will manage your day and your time applying your expertise in all areas of the plant to complete repairs and installations. Core skills in mechanical knowledge and industrial maintenance are essential along with the ability to work independently and complete work with attention to detail. You are a team of one but have 2 key resources available to you with over 30 yrs of experience in our facility. Come join our team.
