We're searching for a Reliability Maintenance Specialist to join the Night Crew (7PM-7AM, 12-hour crewing) in our Barberton Aluminum Remelt Foundry — a modern, highly automated, continuous horizontal casting operation that runs 24/7/365.
Your impact Picture this:
a conveyor trips at 2:15 AM. You pull the schematic, verify inputs at the PLC, isolate a failed drive component, and coordinate a safe change-out with production. Later, you complete PMs on hydraulic circuits, adjust pressures, and log results in the CMMS — all while modeling BCC Safety Regulations and mentoring peers on safe work practices. Core responsibilities Diagnose and repair continuous process equipment: motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyors, water systems, and other production machinery following diagrams, specifications, and manuals. Disassemble and reassemble machines using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to access and replace defective parts.
Execute precision maintenance:
pumps, motors, chains, sprockets, and cables; repair/replace drives; troubleshoot PLC logic; fabricate/mount guards; and fine-tune hydraulics. Perform preventive maintenance across the casting lifecycle and contribute to reliability-improvement projects. Uphold personal PPE standards and promote BCC Safety Regulations across the crew. Who you are Basic qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited) 2+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing Proficient reading electrical and hydraulic drawings/schematics Preferred qualifications Combustion systems knowledge Strong safety record and judgment Demonstrated troubleshooting capability Hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical repair methods Experience planning and executing PMs 5 years maintaining mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment or foundry Compensation, schedule, and growth
Full-time Night Crew:
