Process Conformity / MQGR Specialist Toledo, OH Full-Time | Contract Opportunity Automotive Manufacturing Environment Help Drive Quality Excellence During Vehicle Launch Operations We are seeking a Process Conformity / MQGR Specialist to support manufacturing quality and operational compliance within a vehicle assembly environment. This role will play a critical part in ensuring plant operations align with regional and corporate manufacturing standards while supporting the launch of an additional vehicle line at the Toledo Assembly Complex. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy auditing processes, solving problems, improving systems, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with manufacturing operational standards. Verify alignment between standard work methods and plant quality audit execution. Read across audit findings to ensure consistency and compliance across assembly operations. Maintain calibration and consistency among internal plant auditors. Update and maintain Process Audit Checklists and audit requirements. Identify auditor training opportunities and coordinate targeted training sessions. Monitor corrective action plans and support issue resolution activities. Develop and lead quality audit network initiatives with manufacturing teams. Strengthen plant controls tied to warranty and top quality concerns. Improve containment systems and quality safeguards. Drive implementation and deployment of MQGRs, MQAS, Corporate Process Guidelines, Process Standards, and related requirements. Prioritize quality issues and communicate effectively with key stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and communicate audit schedules to support compliance. Support meetings and presentations with employees at all organizational levels, including leadership teams. Build partnerships across manufacturing, quality, and operational groups to influence improvements. L aunch Support Responsibilities This position supports the launch of a third vehicle line and focuses on maintaining quality standards throughout vehicle introduction and production ramp-up.
Additional responsibilities include:
Partner with audit teams to inspect vehicles prior to shipment. Ensure Plant Quality Gates (PQGs) follow established inspection requirements. Learn and apply internal quality standards and systems including MQGR and MQAS. Support both current production and future vehicle programs. Work closely with both UAW and salaried teams to maintain process conformity. Training & Development Comprehensive training provided No prior experience with internal systems required Expected onboarding and development period of approximately 90 days Opportunity to conduct audits independently and as part of a team
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree Previous experience conducting audits in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality systems Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and project management Ability to interpret and understand quality KPIs Experience with any of the following is helpful: Assembly Stamping Paint Operations
MQGR / MQAS
Corporate Process Guidelines (CPGs) CPA Torque Systems Preferred Qualifications Engineering or Technical degree Manufacturing and/or Quality experience Previous experience leading or supervising hourly teams Automotive manufacturing experience Experience with customer quality initiatives Knowledge of plant production methods: BIW (Body in White) Paint General Assembly (GA) Plastics Knowledge of QMS Operational Standards and SPW Fundamentals Why Apply?
