Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational readiness of our plant and equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting, repairing, and enhancing equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Your expertise in PLC logic, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs will be critical to our success. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, utilizing electrical schematics, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure swift and effective repairs. Implement continuous improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability, contributing to increased production efficiency. Provide support for robotic operations, including Panasonic and Motoman systems integrated with PLCs, to maintain seamless automated processes. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, preventing breakdowns and ensuring operational continuity. Identify and source suitable replacement parts for obsolete components, upgrading equipment to extend its lifespan and improve functionality. Adhere to safety protocols, including Arch Flash, LOTO, Confined Space, and Fall Protection procedures, to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with the team to achieve quality product outcomes, implementing root cause fixes to prevent recurring issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment modifications, contributing to a comprehensive maintenance database. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in industrial maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of root cause analysis. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including experience with electrical schematics, multimeters, and amp probes. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with the ability to perform maintenance and repairs on related equipment. Familiarity with PLC logic and handshaking between equipment, with the ability to monitor processes via remote VPN connection. Must provide own tools and perform maintenance tasks. Preferred Skills Experience with robotic operations, particularly Panasonic and Motoman systems. Ability to evaluate equipment capabilities and implement modifications for continuous improvement. Knowledge of safety protocols, including Arch Flash, LOTO, Confined Space, and Fall Protection.
