7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Some weekend work may be necessary. Alaska Precast Solutions, part of the Remote Alaska Solutions family of operations, is setting a new standard in Alaskan construction. With the launch of our cutting-edge Precast Hollowcore Manufacturing Plant in Nikiski, we're revolutionizing how Alaska builds—delivering unmatched efficiency, strength, and versatility to the state's construction industry. We're seeking an experienced Prestressed Precast Concrete Batch Plant Operator responsible for efficient production at the newly established batching plant. Although this new role will not start until late 2026, the hiring process has commenced, with relocation assistance available to the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all batching operations, production flow, and equipment configuration. Operate batching and mixing equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient production of prestressed precast concrete. Manage concrete mix designs to meet specifications and maintain consistent quality. Oversee inventory of raw materials, including cement, aggregates, and admixtures. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of batching equipment to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Coordinate with production teams to meet daily and project-based production goals. Monitor and adjust batching processes to adhere to PCI and ACI standards. Maintain detailed records of production activities, material usage, and equipment performance.
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Skills:
1-3 years of experience in concrete batching or related industrial operations. Familiarity with batching and mixing equipment; automated systems experience preferred. Basic understanding of concrete mix designs and materials. •
Mathematical & Technical Aptitude:
Ability to calculate material proportions and adjust mix designs as needed. Proficiency with basic computer applications and batching control software. •
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment. Comfortable standing, climbing, and performing tasks in varying weather conditions. •
Compliance & Certifications:
Understanding of workplace safety protocols (OSHA preferred). Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination. Ability to obtain ACI certification in 90 days. • Bonus Qualifications (Not Required): PCI or ACI certification. 2-5 years of experience with both "Dry Batch" and "Wet Batch" systems. Elematic Technology / Equipment Experience. Mixer Systems Concrete Batching / Equipment Experience. Experience with Polarmoist sensors. Experience batching concrete under cold weather conditions.
